Job Title: Lunch Club Assistant

Location – Aldershot, Heronwood Road

Hours: 09.30 – 1.30 (4 hours) every Thursday.

To be successful in this role you will need:

Experience with preparing, heating and serving suitable meals.

Basic food hygiene, although this can be provided

An understanding of the needs of older people

To be a good team player, although it is a small team.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Open the centre and set up furniture, as directed by the Lunch Club Co-ordinator

Welcome service users and provide refreshments, supported by volunteers.

Collect lunch money and ensure this is recorded on the attendance sheet.

Assist co-ordinator to check dietary requirements and meal selection.

Assist co-ordinator with serving of meals, clearing of tables and kitchen. Some washing up may be required although there is a dishwasher.

Lock up the centre at the end of the morning.

There may be the need to cover for the co-ordinator in their absence.
