A generous thank you – and a reminder that every donation matters
Through our Information & Form Filling Service, one of our volunteers helped a couple access benefits they didn’t realise they were entitled to, at a time when the wife’s health was deteriorating. The additional financial support made a real difference to them.
Sadly, the wife has since passed away. Her husband recently made an incredibly generous £10,000 donation to Age Concern Hampshire as a way of saying thank you for the support they received.
It was a very generous gift, but you don’t need to give a large amount to make a difference. Every donation, whatever the size, helps us continue providing practical support to older people and their families across Hampshire.
This particular donation was left unrestricted, giving us the flexibility to use it wherever it is needed most across the charity. It’s a wonderful reminder that the support we provide can have a lasting impact and that donations of all sizes help us be there for someone when they need us most.
